Last year’s Brexit vote, and speculation regarding the timing and terms of Britain’s withdrawal from the EU, have created widespread uncertainty. Boosted by the UK’s decision, Euroskeptic movements have also gained ground across Europe. In the coming months national elections in France, Germany, and the Czech Republic will confirm whether Britain’s decision was an outlier or, as Nigel Farage has predicted, the beginning of a broader unraveling of the European project.
