Robert Hariman is Professor of Rhetoric and Public Culture in the Department of Communication Studies. His most recent book is The Public Image: Photography and Civic Spectatorship (Chicago, 2016), coauthored with John Louis Lucaites. This year he is serving as president of Northwestern's Faculty Senate. ​
