Paul’s Letter to Philemon and the Call of the Impoverished, Incarcerated, and Enslaved

Wheaton’s Center for Urban Engagement and Opus: The Art of Work present a lecture by Efrem Smith, President and CEO of World Impact, on Thursday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Smith’s lecture will consider the following questions: Is vocational discernment only for the privileged? Do the poor have the dignity of calling? Smith will speak on Paul’s letter to Philemon and the call of the impoverished, incarcerated, and enslaved. This event will also include a perfromance by the Wheaton College Gospel Choir.

The lecture is free and open to the public and will take place in Coray Alumni Gymnasium, located at 421 Chase Street in Wheaton. For more information, contact the Center for Urban Engagement at cue@wheaton.edu.
