Up to his death on 4/17/15, Cardinal Francis E. George, OMI, PhD, STD, late archbishop of Chicago, worked upon his final book, A Godly Humanism: Clarifying the Hope that Lies Within (2015, Catholic University of America Press).
Come join us in reflecting upon Cardinal George’s pastoral and intellectual contribution with Mary Hallan-Fiorito, who served on the staff of the late Cardinal throughout his tenure in Chicago, and with Timothy Kirchoff, a recent Notre Dame graduate who helped the editors to fact-check the Cardinal’s last book.
The regular 5:15 PM Mass will follow this event at the St. John Paul II Newman Center East, 700 S. Morgan, Chicago.
