Becoming a founder is taxing. It’s tough work that takes an emotional and psychological toll. This intimate roundtable provides a forum for founders to vent and get feedback from peers and seasoned entrepreneurs around some of the more challenging aspects of starting a venture.
Entrepreneurship Essentials (E2) is a weekly program hosted by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation that encourages entrepreneurially minded students, staff and faculty from across University to create new ventures. The program revolves around a series of Quick Pitch events that act as a forum for founders to showcase progress, get feedback and ask for help. Each Quick Pitch lasts 2.5 minutes and the founders answer the following 3 questions.
I. Why are you here?
II. What do you need?
III. What do you plan to have done by the next Quick Pitch?
Each Pitch will receive feedback from Polsky Center staff and audience Q & A. Quick Pitches are designed to promote continuity, if you sign up for one, we will encourage you to present at those following.
The rest of the E2 program is designed to supplement the Quick Pitch events. We provide lectures, workshops, panels and roundtable discussions to prepare students for the challenges they will face in the early stages of starting a new business.
