C.S. Lewis’ The Pilgrim’s Regress Annotated Edition Book Launch

The Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College hosts a celebration of the book launch of C.S. Lewis’ The Pilgrim’s Regress: The Wade Center Annotated Edition (Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, 2014) Friday, September 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Pilgrim’s Regress was the first book C.S. Lewis wrote after his conversion, and was his initial attempt to explain his own conversion as well as the experience he termed Joy.

Editor David C. Downing will deliver a short talk about the new edition. Dr. Downing is the R. W. Schlosser Professor of English at Elizabethtown College in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where he teaches professional and creative writing. He is also the author of four scholarly books on C.S. Lewis.

Free and open to the public, this event takes place at The Marion E. Wade Center, located at 351 E. Lincoln Avenue in Wheaton. A book signing and reception will follow the lecture. For more information, call 630.752.5908.
