Identity theft, credit card fraud, data breaches- we’ve seen and heard it all. We live in an era where nothing is private, but what exactly are the repercussions of our oversharing actions? In this month’s Powered by Social Media event, we will be discussing how social media and our culture of oversharing impacts our cybersecurity at both the individual level and corporate level.

Tom Anderson- Executive Cloud Leader GE Digital, and CEO of Private Client Cybersecurity
Thomas Anderson is the Enterprise Cloud Leader for GE Digital. Tom is responsible for coordinating General Electric’s company-wide internal cloud transformation. GE is building their next generation IT infrastructure and moving 90% of their IT assets from the data center to the cloud. Prior, Tom served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for GE Transportation Global Services & Solutions. Tom was instrumental in building GE Transportation’s big data and analytics capability for the railroad industry. In addition, he was responsible for significantly reducing software development cycle time by championing the adoption of DevOps and Agile practices Tom spent six years in IT internal audit and served as General Electric’s Chief IT Auditor prior to joining the Transportation business. He is credited with establishing GE’s industry leading IT Security internal audit capabilities, helping GE keep pace with increasing cyber threats. In recognition of his efforts, Tom was the recipient of the 2011 GE Chairman’s award. Tom earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is a graduate of GE’s Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP) and GE’s Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) executive leadership program.

Ralph Kindred- Technology Strategist, Deloitte Consulting
Mr. Ralph Kindred is a technology executive with over 20 years’ experience providing strategic and operational technology leadership support to organizations across multiple industries. Mr. Kindred has a MBA from the University of San Francisco, Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, and a bachelor’s in Humanities from New College of California. Additionally Mr. Kindred is a TOGAF 9 Certified Enterprise Architect.
Currently, Mr. Kindred is a Technology Strategist for Deloitte Consulting where he uses his multidisciplinary background in business, law, and technology to advise industry leading companies and Government organizations in digital business strategies and technology transformation.
David Schwartzberg is a Senior Manager Security & Privacy at MobileIron, a mobile security company, where he specializes in mobile and network security.
Utilizing his 6 years accounting experience and combined 22 years InfoTech and InfoSec experience, he speaks regularly with technology executives and professionals to help protect their corporate secrets and stay compliant. In his spare time he co-founded Hak4Kidz, and has blogged for Dark Reading, Naked Security, Barracuda Labs and currently for MobileIron Rethink:Security. He has spoken at conferences such as Black Hat Arsenal, BSides, Converge, DEF CON Packet Hacking Village, DerbyCON, GrrCON, OWASP AppSec, RSA Conference, THOTCON, (ISC)2 Congress and several others. About the Moderator:
Taylor Gaines is Co-Owner and CEO of T&T Digital Media. Prior to launching T&T, Taylor was working for a full-service advertising agency as an Account Executive. Taylor was in charge of developing social media campaigns, and developing social strategies for large national grocery retailers and international natural food brands.
Taylor received her education at The University of Arizona where she obtained her undergraduate degree is Business, with three majors in marketing, management and entrepreneurship. Taylor also has won various marketing competitions, including Macy’s Marketing competition where she and her team were flown to New York to present in front of the executive board.
Taylor believes social media will change how public relations is operated by creating a new channel for developing relationships and creating targeted goals.
