Leo Burnett is one of the world’s largest advertising agencies that’s headquartered in Chicago. In this event, our guest speaker John Vanderploeg is going to talk about how data is collected, managed and analyzed in the real scenarios of a digital marketing firm. He is also going to share his personal stories as an analytics professional and give career suggestions to fellow students.

About the speaker:
John Vanderploeg is currently the SVP and Director at Leo Burnett. He has over twenty years of experience in precision marketing, digital measurement and analytics, custom segmentation and modeling, and marketing mix analysis. At Leo Burnett, John oversees a Personifi team which supports clients such as McDonald’s, P&G, Samsung, Allstate, Hallmark and GM. John received an MS in Applied Statistics from the University of Iowa and a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Central College in Pella, IA. He is active in the American Statistical Association where has held the position of Vice President for the Chicago Chapter.
