DePaul University College of Law’s Annual Health Law Symposium – The Changing Landscape of Pharmaceutical Law & Business @ The DePaul Center
Presented by the Health Law Institute & Journal of Health Care Law; Co-Organizers: Center for Intellectual Property Law & Information Technology and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business
Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
The Changing Landscape of Pharmaceutical Law & Business will explore the current problems in the business, what the pharma field is doing to remedy these issues, and the role of attorneys and business professionals in this new approach. We plan to have the health law, IP, and business interests represented in three different panels, with an ethics discussion following. The morning session panels will address the evolution of the field (how we got here) and the current landscape of pharma business. These panels will discuss the way business has been conducted for the past 15 to 20 years and the recent significant changes, such as in the area of generics and R&D. The afternoon panel will discuss how to best set up your clients and businesses to handle these changes and position themselves appropriately for the future. These panelists will also address trends for the upcoming years and anticipated changes. We will have an ethics discussion at the end of the symposium to address those concerns as well.
This program has been approved for up to 4.75 hours of CLE credit, including 1 Professional Ethics credit. All tickets include continental breakfast, lunch and processing fees.
