Young Leaders in Tech

General Assembly

Thursday, 15 March 6 – 8 pm CDT

Join us for an epic night with some of Chicago’s most interesting and inspiring young leaders that are making a name for themselves in the Chicago tech scene.

Why? This past autumn, Business Insider ranked Chicago the 10th Most High-Tech City in the World, citing that “a recent report found Illinois was among the Top Five cities in High-Tech Jobs in the US — with the Windy City making up a big chunk of those spots”. It is no secret that Chicago’s company’s are thriving, in large part because of the talent and ambition of the people in this city. We want to take a night to celebrate some of the young leaders breaking out in the tech community that are truly making an impact.

What Makes A ‘Leader’? You don’t have to be the head of a department or the founder of a startup to be considered a ‘leader’! We are defining a leader as: a change-maker; someone who is advancing the future of the tech and creating innovative solutions to the worlds challenges.

What You’ll Takeaway? Each ‘young leader’ will share their journey so far, what they’re currently working on, insights on the Chicago tech community and advice on careers, side hustles, and life in general. This event is designed to highlight the sheer talent this city.

This event is for everyone. From students, to entrepreneurs, to those interested in the tech community! Come network and learn something about Chicago’s impressive tech community.
