ThoughtWorks Tech Talks Chicago
Design systems combine UI components with clear guiding standards to unify user experience design and development at scale. And while there is plenty to say about theory, design, and adoption, you won’t get very far in any design system journey without solid engineering practices, sound architecture, and the right technologies.
In this talk, we’ll focus on the technical side of design system engineering. We’ll examine technologies such as React and CSS Modules; techniques such as automatic documentation generation; architectural decision points; and what the future has in store for design systems. All of this will be grounded in the large-scale React-based design system we built with TELUS digital.
Whether you are working on a small team and need to share some UI components, just starting on your design system journey, or are already scaling your system, this talk has something for you.
