Join the IOP as we welcome Tom Donilon, former National Security Advisor to President Obama, for a conversation on U.S.-China relations, the reemergence of global competition, and technological competition.
As national security advisor, Mr. Donilon was tasked with coordinating and integrating the administration’s foreign policy, intelligence, cybersecurity and military efforts. Previously, he served as Deputy to National Security Advisor James Jones and as Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs. A veteran policy and presidential advisor, Mr. Donilon has worked closely with three U.S. Presidents.
Moderating the discussion will be Anne Gearan, White House correspondent for The Washington Postwith a focus on foreign policy and national security. Ms. Gearan has covered the State Department with the Post, as well as the Pentagon and the Supreme Court for the Associated Press.
