With the help of archival plans and sketches, Graham will share notable comprehensive plans for the CTA that were never realized, but could have drastically changed how we use transit to traverse the city. We will also take a look at modern-day investments pushing the CTA into the future.
Program Speaker: Graham Garfield
Graham Garfield is a multi-disciplinary public transit professional with experience across a diverse set of government agency and transportation functions. Graham began working for the CTA in 1999 and has held leadership positions in the facilities, construction, rail operations and communications sections. He is extensively knowledgeable and experienced in transit history, strategic planning and policy, operations, station design and communications. Graham has published a number of journal and academic articles and maintains the Chicago ‘L’ website www.Chicago-L.org.
