About the Speakers
Patrick Boueri Data Scientist,
Patrick Boueri has been programming for 8 years with all sorts of languages. Currently a Data Scientist at Uptake, an analytics and software company for big industry, Patrick wears many hats in his day to day, always involving code. Prior to his current gig, Patrick graduated from Northwestern with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and from Columbia with a Master’s in Engineering.
Jennifer Hobbs Data Scientist,
Jennifer Hobbs is a Data Scientist at STATS working with player-tracking data for basketball. Previously she was a Risk Insights Analyst in Predictive Analytics at Zurich Insurance. Jennifer completed her PhD in Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University with a research focus in computational and statistical neuroscience. Her research explored the natural scene statistics of touch in order to understand how tactile features could be encoded by the brain.

His focus is not only establishing a quality UX program, but to enhance and elevate Echo’s user experience practice through discovery-driven research, experimental design evolution and encompassing their user-community throughout the design process.
With over 10 years in the UX industry, Tony’s career experience has grown from startup company, consultancy, running his own UX firm to currently leading Echo’s innovation and product design.

Resource Planning (ERP) software implementations. As a former in-house attorney at some of
the largest software companies in the world, Marcus understands software vendor tactics
and is able to leverage his ERP industry knowledge to advocate on behalf of his clients. He
frequently speaks on emerging technology related issues and is interviewed regularly by the

Marcus has significant legal and related business experience in the technology industry. Prior
to entering private practice, he was senior corporate counsel in charge of intellectual property
in the Legal/Contracts Department of SAP America and at SSA Global Technologies (now
Infor), where he developed and managed an extensive international trademark and patent
portfolio, managed intellectual property litigation, conducted intellectual property due diligence
and reviewed advertising material to verify compliance with legal requirements. During law
school, Marcus completed an advanced externship at the United States Copyright Office in
Hailey Lefkofsky Product Lead,
Hailey is the Product Lead for Data Platforms and Analytics at Tempus Labs, working to improve patient care by building a library of clinical and molecular data and making it useful. Along with a team of data scientists, engineers, designers, and subject matter experts, Hailey helps bring together disjoint and siloed datasets to deliver insights and catalyze research initiatives. She is motivated to improve patient outcomes and create easier access to the data and analytic tools required to enable such improvements. Prior to joining Tempus, Hailey worked as a research analyst at University of Michigan’s Translational Oncology Program where she helped with biomarker discovery in pancreatic cancer cell lines.
