Chronic sinusitis affects one in eight Americans, making it one of the most common health conditions. As the CEO of Intersect ENT, Lisa Earnhardt is set on improving health outcomes for the more than 30 million people affected by this condition.
Since taking the helm in 2008, Lisa has grown the Intersect ENT team to over 350 employees, orchestrated a successful IPO and guided the company through several product launches. In 2014, the company’s three-year growth rate of 3,103 percent caught the attention of many, landing Intersect ENT on the list of fastest growing companies in Silicon Valley, Forbes’ America’s Most Promising Companies and earning them the Medical Device Excellence Award.
Intersect ENT builds products that provide ENT physicians with less invasive, more cost-effective options for treating patients with chronic sinusitis. Since the commercialization of their first product, more than 200,000 patients have been treated with Intersect technologies.
Under Lisa’s leadership, Intersect ENT is also defying the Silicon Valley gender gap. In March, Intersect was named a ‘W’ company by 2020 Women on Boards for gender diversity, with 43% of the company’s board seats occupied by women.
