For creative entrepreneurs like us who always hustling every day (and sometimes every weekend as well), work-life balance can be a myth. If this sounds like you, come join Chicago creative entrepreneurs at this panel where they will be sharing their story on how they manage to create balance in their work and life plus give you their insights about self-care along with tips and tricks to avoid burnouts while working on your creative projects.
01. Natasha Casanova, Owner of Kathmandu Yogi
Natasha Casanova is the Founder & CEO of Kathmandu Yogi, a purveyor of ethically made, limited edition meditation and yoga accessories handcrafted in the Himalayas. After several trips to Nepal meditating and working with the local Buddhist community, Natasha became inspired to create her own line of products as a catalyst for sustainable social change. Her company provides fair and sustainable employment and empowers women in a place with little opportunities. Simultaneously offering mindfully made products in the west for personal development that align their values with their spending.
02. Vunzai T. Yeazel, Founder of Gorgeous Within
Born in America and raised in Zimbabwe, she sees the world through a panoramic lens. Guided by her faith and life experiences, she founded this company in accordance with the core values and strategies she has applied throughout her life and business career. As a motivational speaker, Vunzai inspires people to get things done and move past their perceived fears. Her down to earth results-oriented approach is complemented by outstanding organizational skills. She has previously co-founded two other startups and is now ready to take her new Global App for on-the-go women to market.
03. Laura Sage, Co-Founder & CEO of CH/LL
Laura Sage is the creator of CH/LL, a modern meditation studio. Laura was driven to create CH/LL by her desire to establish a regular meditation practice and her frustration at not being able to find a place in Chicago that resonated with her. Laura is also the Director of Marketing at a Chicago and London based hedge funds. In 2004, Laura and her sister Halee, started The Lynn Sage Foundation a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer. The Foundation is named after their mother who passed away from breast cancer at the age of 39. Laura earned her MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Business and holds a BS in Economics from the University of Arizona.
04. Chonce Maddox, Personal Finance Expert & Money Coach of My Debt Epiphany
Choncé is a successful blogger, personal finance coach, Certified Financial Education Instructor, and public speaker who went from being a single mom on welfare to achieving financial stability and wellness and wants to help others do the same. As proof, she paid off $35,000 of debt in less than 3 years! Her goal is to help women use their time, money, and resources to regain control and live more fulfilling and balanced lives.
ARI KRZYZEK Co-owner of Chykalophia & Founder of Creative Women’s Co.
Co-founder, creative director and chief designer of Chykalophia, Ari Krzyzek implements powerful branding strategies to provide distinctive designs for maximum impact via web, mobile and/or print. Additionally, she founded and hosts Creative Women’s Co., serving as design consultant, mentor and professional peer in support of fellow female entrepreneurs.
Lauren Ramsey, Chief Engagement Officer of Betsy Bash
Lauren Ramsey is a Social Story Teller. Throughout her life, she has lived in five countries and visited thirty countries across four continents. At a young age, she not only knew how to adapt to new environments, cultures and ways of life, but she did not see it as anything other than normal. Throughout her life and career, this unique skillset has complimented her analytical mind and helped her to adapt to new teams, understand problems from a different point of view and find new ways to tackle and solve any problem.
