Rhodes Less Traveled: A Conversation With Ben Rhodes

Chicago Council on Global Affairs

Ben Rhodes, Chief International Advisor, former President Barack Obama. In conversation with Tom Wyler, Senior Vice President Global Strategy, PSP Capital.

Ben Rhodes, the architect behind much of President Obama’s foreign policy strategy, was instrumental in the administration’s widely debated re-opening of relations with Cuba and the infamous Syrian red line incident. During his tenure, Rhodes served as both a national security advisor for strategic communications and speechwriter for the former president merging policy and public relations in a newly digital world.  Hear from the Time’s “40 Under 40” awardee about his time in the administration as well as his non-traditional path to the White House.
