The School of Biblical & Theological Studies at Wheaton College presents the Annual Mark Noll Lecture in History of Christianity on Tuesday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wilson Suite, BGC 432. The lecture titled “Recovering a Global History of Christianity” will be given by Dr. Todd M. Johnson. This lecture seeks to reframe the story of Christian history in terms of its ancient global history and by reconceptualizing its current global reality.

Dr. Todd Johnson is Associate Professor of Global Christianity and Director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Johnson is Visiting Researcher at Boston University’s Institute for Culture, Religion and World Affairs leading a research project on international religious demography. He is co-author of The World’s Religions in Figures (Wiley-Blackwell, 2013), co-editor of the Atlas of Global Christianity (Edinburgh University Press, 2009), and co-author of the World Christian Encyclopedia (Oxford University Press, 2nd ed., 2001). He is co-editor of the World Christian Database (Brill) and co-editor of the World Religion Database (Brill).
