In this 1-day workshop, you’ll learn how to develop interactive design and marketing strategies based on a combination of psychology and neuroscience, which we present in straight-forward lessons that are practical, easy-to-understand, and result-focused.
This workshop will improve your knowledge of human-centered design by teaching you how neurochemicals shape your users’ emotion, motivation, cognition, and behavior.
Our ultimate goal is to help you build emotionally rewarding websites, mobile apps and digital campaigns, that win your users’ trust, shape their habits, and form long-term relationships with your brand.
Day 1: User Experience and Design Foundations [UX1]
1-Day UX Foundations (15 May 2017)
In this 1-day workshop, you will learn essential lessons and skills that will help you build websites, apps, and digital campaigns that are easy to use and understand. By the end of this workshop, you will know how to carry out user research, and produce interactive design specifications by developing key skills in user experience, information architecture, navigational system design, wireframing and more. You will also learn practical tips on how to design projects that are cost effective, and positioned to win stakeholder support.
Learning path: This workshop is for beginners who want to learn essential design skills, or specialists looking to broaden their skillset.
Days 2-3: Psychology for Digital Behavior Change [P2]
2-Day Essential Digital Psychology – Workshop 1 of 2 – (16-17 May 2017)
Over two days, you will learn the most mission critical lessons in digital psychology, and gain mastery in recognizing and applying over 40 principles of persuasive design psychology. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to reverse-engineer the psychological patterns behind the world’s most successful websites, apps, ads and social media. You will also know how to translate psychological strategies into creative content, and understand how to optimize impacts over time.
Learning path: This is our most popular workshop and the one we recommend as a starting point for most people who want to learn digital psychology.
Day 4: Psychological Architectures of Digital Behavior Change [A1]
1-Day Advanced Psychological Architectures – Workshop 2 of 2 – (18 May 2017)
This advanced 1-day workshop covers 10 new principles of digital psychology and introduces participants to the psychological design patterns driving the world’s most successful websites, apps, and campaigns. Participants learn popular psychological architectures, including landing pages, gamification, habit loops, stages of change, and more. Further, they will learn how to design persuasive user journeys across multi-channel interactive campaigns and products.
Learning path: This workshop is for people who have completed P2, or who are taking workshops P2 and A1 together.
Day 5: Emotional Design Psychology [N1]
1-Day Emotional Design (19 May 2017)
This 1-day workshop provides participants with a deep understanding of emotional design, by covering the essential lessons in the psychology and neuroscience of user emotion, motivation, cognition, and behavior. This workshop focuses on interactive design and content strategies aimed at evoking positive emotions, and design patterns that will help you avoid accidentally triggering negative user emotions. By the end of this workshop, you will know how to build emotionally rewarding websites, mobile apps and digital campaigns. You’ll also gain a deep understanding of emotional design strategies that will help you win your users’ trust, shape their habits, and form long-term relationships with your brand.
Learning path: This workshop can be taken at any time, but we recommend this as a follow-up workshop, after taking P2 and A1.
