Panelists confirmed to date:

Steven Ross Johnson has been a staff reporter for Modern Healthcare magazine since 2013 and covers issues involving public health and other healthcare news. Johnson has been a freelance reporter for the Chicago Tribune, Progress Illinois, the Chicago Reporter and the Times of Northwest Indiana and a government affairs reporter for the Courier-News in Elgin, Ill. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Columbia College in Chicago and a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

Alex Keown is a freelance journalist who covers a variety of subjects including the pharma and biotech industries. At biopharma news site BioSpace Alex covers breaking life science news from companies such as AbbVie, Abbott Laboratories, Perrigo Marathon Pharmaceuticals and more. He also covers pharma conventions, such as Chicago-based ASCO, and writes features and company profiles. Before moving to Chicagoland Alex spent seven years as a staff reporter for The Wilson Times in North Carolina where he covered the state legislature. Alex currently lives in the western suburb of Bloomingdale with his wife and two children.
