Melinda French Gates is a philanthropist, businesswoman, and global advocate for women and girls. She joins us to make the case that addressing gender equality is key to making life better for all (As she says, “If you want to lift a society up, invest in women.”). As a long-time champion of family planning and with a belief that all lives have equal value, in her new book, The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World, Gates shares the stories of everyday women doing extraordinary things to change their communities, from “turbo-charged” large-scale efforts to simple fixes anyone can do.
This program is generously underwritten by Fifth Third Bank.
