In today’s competitive business climate, it seems that everyone is focused on culture. Most of us have come to believe that culture is the force that drives deliverables, creates efficiencies and attracts talent. A culture either embrace the vision and feed off the possible or slide into mediocrity (disorganized, dysfunctional, or even conflict).
In many ways, culture is the foundation of any business, and building a business requires a focus on creating an effective culture. One of John Burdett’s key ideas is that “If strategy is a bicycle, culture is a bus.” But, the strategy is where leaders often spend much of their time with only the occasional nod to culture. However, a bicycle can’t pull a bus, and if they collide, the winner is obvious.
In an engaging session, John Burdett offers his listeners some lasting insights and thoughts about effective implementation that will improve even the best organizations. John lives in Toronto but travels the world having consulted for the likes of Alcan, Carrefour, Lonzo Group, Tamrock, the Ocean Discovery Institute, and the government of Saudi Arabia. His presentation at the Executives Club is the first time he has spoken in the USA in years.
For taking the time to attend we will be giving away to every attendee a copy of John’s latest book, “The A-Z of Organization Culture.”
