Journalists of all skill levels are invited to attend a two-day investigative reporting bootcamp with the Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting, brought to you by The Chicago Reporter, City Bureau and the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University.
The training will cover everything from pitching and managing investigative projects, tips for turning a quick hit investigative story, getting public records and developing sources.
Presenters will include Ida B. Wells Society co-founders Nikole Hannah-Jones of The New York Times Magazine, Ron Nixon of The New York Times and Topher Sanders of ProPublica.
Space is limited. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants. Attendees must bring their own laptop for the training.
Street parking is available for participants.
