About the Speakers:

Shawn Bushouse Chief Operating Officer, Vital Proteins

Shawn Bushouse is the Chief Operating Officer of collagen-based wellness company, Vital Proteins. A classically trained CPG executive with 15 years experience in finance and general management with Fortune 500 and private business.  Shawn most recently served as Executive Vice President and Director over J Skinner Baking.  Prior to J Skinner, Shawn served in various finance and general management roles within Kellogg’s commercial and operational functions.  He utilizes experience with Kellogg’s [Keebler, Kashi, Eggo] and J Skinner Baking, to drive high-growth branded businesses and business units.  Utilizing financial logic as the basis for constructing successful business models and operating plans, Shawn brings the mix of Fortunate 500 and private business approaches to strategize for the win.  Shawn’s passion for brands and fitness were a perfect fit for Vital Proteins. When he’s driving growth for Vital Proteins, Shawn can be found training for various sports or walking around Chicago enjoying the different neighborhoods of the city.


Matt Dryer Partner/COO, Pullman Global, LLC

Former Airborne Ranger and distressed asset turn-around champion, Matt Dyer is a fast paced mover in the food manufacturing and distribution space. As Partner/COO of Pullman Global; the turn-around sister of Chicago based Dutch Farms, Matt has led teams through multiple acquisitions, joint ventures, and organic growth strategies resulting in over half a dozen turn-arounds over the past 3 years. Stephen Ross Associate, Hyde Park Angels

Stephen is an Associate at Hyde Park Angels. He handles support for all of Hyde Park Angel’s portfolio companies by overseeing the deal close process and providing analytical insights into investment performance. In addition, he analyzes the portfolio within the context of the larger venture capital trends. Before joining Hyde Park Angels, Stephen was the Director of Sales for AMPY, an acquired Chicago start-up who developed a wearable motion charger. At AMPY he handled the customer relationship from start to end, ensuring needs and requirements were met. He graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Environmental Sciences from Northwestern University in 2015.
