Join the Chicago Young Republicans for a night of drinks, dancing and great conversation at the second annual CYR Red Elephant Gala. The event will take place at the Union League Club of Chicago on October 13, 2017.
There are a number of Illinois state legislative races that the CYRs have targeted for both the upcoming primary elections and the general elections. The proceeds from this event will go towards mobilization of CYR members to help canvass and get out the vote in those targeted districts.
6:30- 7:30: VIP Hour

9-10:30: Dancing and Cocktails

Congressman Peter Roskam currently serves as the Ways & Means Tax Policy Chairman for the 115th Congress. From this key legislative perch, he is expected to play a leading role in the first major overhaul of the nation’s tax code in over three decades. Previously, he served as Republican Chief Deputy Whip in Congress, and served in both the Illinois House and Illinois Senate.
Erika Harold is a former Miss America winner (‘03) who used her winnings to pay for tuition at Harvard Law School. She also used her platform as Miss America to help anti-bullying efforts, receiving a leadership award from the National Center for Victims of Crime. She has served on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Equality, and is currently a Commissioner on the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. She is a Republican candidate for Attorney General.
Both speakers are proud to have been born and raised in Illinois.
