This September, Secretary of State Pompeo and Secretary of Defense Mattis traveled to India for the inaugural U.S.-India Ministerial 2+2 Dialogue, part of the Trump Administration’s Free and Open Indo-Pacific strategy. To dissect the outcome of these talks – as well as other foreign policy issues – please join the IOP as we welcome Randall Schriver, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs. He’ll be discussing the Trump Administration’s foreign policy priorities in Asia, the future of the Indo-Pacific region, and more.
Mr. Schriver has served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, as well as Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Secretary of Defense in January 2018, Mr. Schriver was a founding partner of Armitage International LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in international business development and strategies.
This conversation will be moderated by Courtney Kube, national security and military reporter for NBC News.
