A Discussion with Victor Reyes: Latino Politics in Chicago

Fri, May 18, 2018 11:30 AM – 1:15 PM

Founded in 1968, the Chicago Area Public Affairs Group (CAPAG) is the Chicago region’s premier organization for public policy and government affairs professionals.

With nearly 30 years of experience in government, law, and public affairs, Victor Reyes draws upon a wide range of contacts and experiences to help clients achieve their goals. Business owners and leaders from around the country rely on his counsel to find a clear path through Illinois’ complex regulatory system, and he is repeatedly selected as an Illinois Leading Lawyer in the areas of governmental, municipal, lobbying, and administrative law. Victor began his career as an assistant to former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, ultimately rising to the position of Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, where he was responsible for implementing the mayor’s agenda in the city council, state legislature, and Congress. After a 10-year career in the public sector, Victor left the mayor’s office to lead the Chicago Government Practice of the international law firm, Greenberg Traurig.
